done and done

Well, thursday was my last final, thus concluding the semester for me. Not only that, yesterday was my last work day aside from cleaning day on wednesday morning. So basically I'm a free man for the next few weeks until the spring semester begins, woohoo! Thursday morning I had my end-of-semester performance review at work. It went rather well. Basically our manager goes over our self-evaluation that we filled out and comments on it, then goes over this chart covering your various abilities and how well you did them. All of mine were ranked Very Good with the exception of two or three Satisfactory marks and one Excellent for 'Quality of Work.' That was pretty cool. After going over that stuff, he talked a little about the team leader position they're hiring for for the coming semester. It sounds like he wants me to apply since really I'm the only customer service person who really knows how everything works on our team. I don't know if I am going to apply mainly because as a team leader I won't get to do as many projects. It's more of a supervisory position, and while that is looks nice on a resume and whatnot, it doesn't seem like too fun a job, even with a pay increase. So I'm kinda torn at the moment, but I need to make a decision by monday because that's when they start interviewing for the positions. Not sure what I'll do.

Now that work and school are over, I have loads of free time. I thought that would be a wonderful thing, but I've been sitting here all day trying to find something to do to fight off extreme boredom. Nothing has worked so far aside from posting this blargg entry. As it turns out, work and school did a rather nice job of keeping me occupied and thus sane. Now I'm going nuts. I really need to get out more. I suppose I should finish off some projects I've had on the backburner for a while. I know for sure I'll be working on Harry's site, but other than that I really don't feel like doing anything.

With that said, I get a lot of monthly bandwidth with my hosting package, so if anyone wants space for a website/project/blog/whatever or has any suggestions for ways to utilize my space, pitch me your idea. There are a few restrictions though since I have to abide by my host's AUP, but the main thing is that it's something that'll get used/updated frequently. Be creative.
