Wow, I'm as surprised as you are that I updated. It's not that I didn't have anything to say, just that I didn't have the desire to post it. To be honest, I don't feel like writing right now, but I figure I might as well for the sake of blogging. I'm sure you're all dying to know what's going on in my oh-so-exciting life anyway. So that's enough banter, on with the recap!
3 weeks ago one of my TFC clan mates, Tim aka [IOD]CrazyCracker, came to town all the way from California. We decided to meet up for some sushi. It was a little weird meeting someone you've been talking to online for the past few years. I'm glad we got to meet though. He was pretty cool. We met up at a Kinkos near my house, then headed over to a sushi restaurant named Sushi Sake. It was pretty good but I was expecting more of a sushi bar. Regardless, the food was great. Afterward Tim talked me into going down to 6th Street to hang out. (For those who are unfamiliar with Austin, 6th Street is famous for being lined with bars and clubs and drunk people.) Normally I wouldn't go anywhere near 6th Street, but the way I see it, how often does someone you don't know come to town to visit you. So I said sure why not and headed over to 6th Street with Tim and his brother. So, we went to a few bars and chatted a bit. Afterward we went our separate ways. 6th Street wasn't as terrible as I had always imagined, but still not really my scene. I'm glad I went though. Sometimes it's good to step out of your comfort zone and experience the world outside your room. All in all it was great hanging out with Tim and I'm glad we got the chance to meet. Now I kinda want to meet all the other people in my clan.
I forgot whatever happened the week after that, but I spent the entire following weekend out with Ting and Cassie taking pics for our photography projects. It was a ton of fun aside from the waking up early part. I did get a few cool long exposure shots around campus with my digital camera though. Even though this photography class is damn expensive, it really is a lot of fun. My photos didn't turn out that great mostly thanks to me doing it at the last minute as usual, but I enjoyed it regardless. Our next project is due next week and I haven't started yet. Sounds like another winner to me.
This past weekend I spent all of it playing Tenchu and Street Racing Syndicate. SRS is pretty cheesy, and athough they used real models as girlfriends you can get in the game, even that couldn't save it. I'm gonna return it to Blockbuster soon and try and get Burnout 3. I played it today and it was a blast. It's as if they took my real driving style and put it into a game! There's nothing more fun than creating car crashes. woo! Friday I went over to Aaron's place with Tim and his girlfriend so Tim could finally see Kill Bill. I really hope they release the box set soon so I can finally own it. There I came to the realization that I really don't like the Gamecube controller. Smash Bros. Melee was a lot of fun though. Kirby owns.
Unfortunately it's that time in the semester where everything hits all at once. Not only will I have several midterms to worry about (and I still haven't even bought books yet), I have at least 2 papers that will be due very soon. I'm sure another photography project will be due around that time too. Joy.
Which brings us to the present. In a couple days I'll be a member of the 2 4 club. I don't know what it is about this particular number, but it makes me feel damn old. Maybe I am.. but more on that later. I'm really tired now and I think my writing is getting more and more incoherent, so I'll end it here for now.

Happy birthday (I don't know whether to wish you belated or in advance). Hope you celebrate more.
...And don't even get me started on the bad design of the cube controllers.
Happy Birthday, except, Fox owns!
