Hope everyone is having a happy holiday. Anyone who has been reading blargg! since the beginning might remember my distaste for Christmas, but as the years go by, all that seems like just a distant memory. Anyway, before I get all sappy, let me just say I'll resume regular posting in a few days.

yeah I actually have it, haha. I bought it a few weeks ago off Amazon. oddly, my box has a slightly different picture on the front. I also bought Nintendo Uno. both are pretty cool
I saw both products at barnes and noble. I hope you got them for cheap and with free shipping. So did you get any cool stuff for X-mas?
I got the cards for $10 and the game for $28. I get free 2nd day shipping on Amazon since I'm a Prime Member (pretty sweet).
anyway, I didn't get anything particularly cool for xmas, mostly just clothes and some cash. the coolest thing I got was my friend gave me a sake set, which comes with cups and a bottle. I don't like sake but they're pretty cool. what'd you get?
some gift certificates from my parents, my bro paid for my window tint, and I haven't bought you or myself a present yet (because of work). I'm just glad I don't have to save funds for a PS3 (until maybe MGS4 or FFXIII) because Virtua Fighters 5 and Assassin's Creed are coming out for the 360 (yay).
My Christmas present, is a big fat shit on me! haha. Not really, but my Xbox 360 is dead. This is the 2nd time Microsoft has had to replace the system for me! The first time was about a month after I got it (Dec. '05). Perfect Dark Zero started freezing the box up. Then other games started freezing.
Same thing happened this time, almost exactly a year later. I borrowed a copy of a co-workers Gears of War (holy shit it's a fantastic game). I decided I had to buy it. So I headed to Target to pick it up. (on sale ofr $39.99 this week) Bring it home, pop it in, play for less than 5 minutes and all these nasty pixellated spots show up around the screen. WTF!! ended up testing video cables, hard drive in and out, a different copy of gears, other games (sadly all games freeze up the system now while "Loading"), even tried it on a couple of other tvs. I also bought a device you can hook your 360 drive into and plug into your puter to backup the drive. I did that and then formatted the drive via the Dashboard, to see if it was the drive. Nope. still getting the dots and freezing in other games. FUCK FUcK!
So I called MS tonight and talked them through every troubleshooting thing I have done and within 10 minutes they were verifying my address for a replacement. (I have learned to do the troubleshooting for the jackasses before you even call. They basically just have checklists they go through. Got that from having to call Dell all the time. I can get a new motherboard, or hard drive in less than 5 minutes from Dell haha.)
Anyway this sucks ass. I am definitely buying the 2 year warranty for $39.99 when I get the replacement box.

oh man that sucks Kyle! I haven't had any problems with my 360 so far. I do get random freezes now and then. some games freeze more often than others, and sometimes my 360 doesn't boot up to the dashboard, it will just hang on the 360 logo, but that's usually due to me playing for 12 hours straight or something. usually I just turn it off and let it cool down for a bit, then everything is back to normal. the 360 gets pretty hot while it's running. try putting your hand in the back by the fan sometime.
